UnDeafen

UnDeafen is a first-person action horror game that revolves around the element of sound. In the game, players play as a deaf scientist in a space lab while one of their test subjects broke out of the container and killed the lights. The objective of the game is to fix the generators while chasing away the "test subject" who is sensitive to flashlights. UnDeafen gives players the ability to freely switch between hearing-aid-on and off,  basically giving them the choice to experience either a deaf person's perspective of the world or the ones of the normal-hearing person. When switched to the deaf perspective, visual presentations replaced a lot of aural feedback so that players with hearing problems could receive the same gaming experience.
